The British Pound is losing to the leading currencies since July CPI showed annual inflation rate of 3.1%. Although CPI fits analysts’ forecasts, the inflation is 1.0% higher than the limit set by the British Government. Now the Pound is quoted 1.5515 against the USD losing 500 pips in the course of this week because of quite disappointing situation with the job seekers numbers. If the fall continues, GBP might drop to its next support at $1.5120.
GBP/JPY – 132.55
GBP is also losing to the Japanese Yen since the employment figures cast a poll over the GBP/JPY pair. Now the Pound is standing at ¥132.55 after losing about 5 yen when the pair stood at JPY resistance of 137.60. GBP’s next support is at 130.80, which is a month low for this pair.
